Thomas Kublin was born in Hungary in 1924. At the end of WW2, given the precarious situation generated by the Soviet invasion of Hungary, he fled to Zurich where he opened a photographic studio. He worked for a number of prestigious fashion publications, photographing Balenciaga's designs and much of the Parisian haute couture sector.
Enid Boulting (1928-2021) was a fashion model and former wife of Roy Boulting, film Director (1913-2001) and later wife of the 9th Earl of Hardwicke. In 1961, Thomas Kublin gave this photograph to her as a gift.
