Produced in the 1950's by the historic Italian furniture factory Dal Vera, these chairs were inspired by the nordic design of the C.H 28 seat by Hans Wegner. Each seat and back is upholstered in faux snakeskin, raised on 'X' shaped supports - H70cm max W59.5cm max, D59cm

Hans J Wegner (1914-2007) is considered a pioneering furniture designer of the 20th century, often referred to as the 'master of the chair'. He began his apprenticeship with Danish master cabinet maker, H.F.Stahlberg, when he was just 14 years old. Later on he moved to Copenhagen and attended the School of Arts and Crafts before setting out as a furniture designer. He received many design awards and was made an Honorary Royal Designer for industry by the Royal Society of Arts in London.
